7 WAYS YOU CAN HELP

Make a generous donation. A cash donation is ALWAYS appreciated. Thank you, if you have already given this year and if you can, please give again! If you haven't made your gift yet, we would be extremely grateful for your donation.

Organize your own fundraising event and donate the proceeds to Horizons. Have a bake sale at work. Run a Car Wash at your neighbourhood gas station. Have fun doing something hands-on and make a difference in the lives of homeless youth!

Ask your company if they have a Matching Gift Program. Many companies want to get involved with the charities that interest their employees. These companies have agreed to match, dollar for dollar any gift given to a registered charity. If your company has this program, we would be happy to forward verification of your donation to Horizons.

Ask your company to make a donation to Horizons for Youth. Most companies have donation programs. We can help by furnishing you with all the pertinent information your company will need to make a decision to support Horizons for Youth.

Do a TTC token drive at work. Horizons for Youth gives out $21,000 worth of tokens annually. Our kids need to go to interviews, doctors' appointments, search for housing; all these visits require public transportation. You can help by planning a token drive at work!

Clear out the cupboards! When Horizons' kids move into an independent living situation, often they have nothing to set up house. When we can, Horizons tries to provide start up/care packages. You can help! Please take a look in your cupboards for extra dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. If you're closing up the cottage, this could be a good time to pass on an old coffee maker or toaster!
